Adams Golf A7OS Irons, Set of 8 Review
The future of iron sets arrives today with the Adams A7OS hybrid set. Adams' best and most versatile game-improvement set ever, the A7OS employs patented gapping technology to optimize the long, midrange, and short irons, helping each part of the set outperform traditional irons. The long irons--which include 3-, 4-, and 5-hybrids--start with ultra-thin crowns that lower the center of gravity. This helps optimize the launch conditions, so you can easily lift the ball out of the rough or off the fairway. The hybrids also boast 44-gram heel/toe perimeter weighting, increasing your forgiveness with every swing. And thanks to the hybrids' thin club faces, you'll generate plenty of ball speed, a must for maximum distance. The long irons--which offer draw biases for a rounder shaping--create a mid to high launch with plenty of distance.
The A7OS set offers a different construction for its mid 6- and 7-hybrids, however. The clubs include back weighting and four-way cambered soles to maximize forgiveness, and come with H-back channel vibration dampening systems to soften the swing impact. The clubs produce a high launch angle and increased spin, helping boost distance and forgiveness. Finally, the set's short clubs (8-iron through pitching wedge) are forgiving and versatile. The short clubs boast quad-cavity heel and toe perimeter weighting to generate superior feel and forgiveness, along with a low and deep center of gravity that optimizes launch conditions. The A7OS hybrids were rated five stars and named a category leader in "Innovation" by 2010's Golf Digest Hot List.
The A7OS hybrid set includes long 3-, 4- and 5-hybrids, mid-length 6- and 7-hybrids, short 8- and 9-irons, and a pitching wedge. |
